“Mirror Stage or what I’m Not” was a group exhibition in 2015, about sex, sexuality, and gender that were perhaps the first conceptual exhibition on this subject in Iran. Installation art, video art, sculpture, printmaking and photography works were presented at the exhibition based on more than six months of research. The show came to an end due to the atmosphere of censorship and threats sooner than the closing time.

Sociology of the body has denied the dualism of mind and body, which was the subject of controversy since Descartes. It has recreated the relation between mind, body and society. In correlation of body and mind, Sociology of the body has provided modern theories of social structuralism through doctrine of philosophers such as Michel Foucault, who has indicated a direct involvement of body and politics. Likewise, Barbara Kruger, American artist has indications of this matter in her works. According to Lopez and Scott, conformance of individuals with social expectations is not resulting from their informed knowledge of normative standards. This is the power, which governs the distribution of bodies in social spaces.
