Who really has got the key to these locked doors that we closed upon our own faces?
It has been years since Iranian people suffer from various social, cultural and economical impasses. Knowing that salvation lies in the collective effort of people, and not only with ideals of Intellectuals and politicians’ speeches, in every and each president election, candidates spoke of problems and promised to solve them. In the last election, Hassan Rouhani utilized the symbol of a “Key” as a representation of opening locked doors of society and economy of 8 years past, especially after incidents of June 2009. Now, after a year of electing president Rouhani, numerous artists, writers, activists and middle class of society ask themselves; is it really possible for one person to open the doors that had been closed and sealed for quite some time? Who really has got the key to these locked doors that we closed upon our own faces? The audience at the exhibition could either buy the photos that were presented as postcards, take them home, or ask the question with me. More than 40 people decided to join me, all the postcards were mailed to the Presidential PR Office, and a documentary from all stages was displayed on the exhibition site. Of course no answer was received, but that does not diminish the authenticity of the question.
